Designing for Connection
This remodel started with a vision: a true family home where every space invites connection and movement. The first step was expanding the living area, creating more room for gathering and a layout that could keep up with an active household.
The backyard became its own world. An outdoor kitchen for family meals, a vegetable garden for weekend harvests, and a pickleball court for friendly matches turned it into a year-round destination. Every detail was designed to draw people outside and keep the energy flowing.Inside, one of the most transformative changes was replacing the closed-off staircase with a glass design. The previous layout interrupted the natural flow of the home and cut off the view from one space to another. Opening the staircase created an immediate sense of connection between levels, allowing light to travel freely and giving the home a more open, modern feel.
